About The artist

My Story
My love for pottery started with a hand-building class back in middle school. As the daughter of two graphic designers, I was always surrounded by creativity, but I ended up pursuing a career in science and clinical research. Even while working in a more analytical field, I never stopped craving a creative outlet.
In January 2023, I finally signed up for my first pottery wheel class—and instantly became obsessed. I was about as beginner as you can get (think wobbly bowls and accidental blobs), but I stuck with it, slowly improving and falling deeper in love with the process.
Over the past couple of years, pottery has become a grounding and joyful part of my life. My style continues to evolve, but I’m especially drawn to natural clay bodies and earthy textures, often experimenting with carving, marbling, and layering glazes. In the gallery, you’ll find a mix of newer pieces and a few from my very first year—each one a little milestone on this creative journey.
I’m currently based in San Francisco, where I spend evenings and weekends in the studio, happily covered in clay.
It’s been such a joy to shape these pieces with my hands. I hope they bring a little of that joy to you, too.
THE FACES BEHIND THE STAMP
The very first piece I made on the wheel was meant to be a bowl… but at barely an inch wide, it wasn’t exactly practical. Instead, it became a tiny food dish for one of my two guinea pigs—and that’s how it all began.
When it came time to choose a logo for my pottery, a guinea pig felt like the obvious choice. It’s a little nod to where this journey started and the two furry companions who’ve been with me from the beginning of my pottery journey. You’ll find their smiling faces stamped on the bottom of most pieces—a small signature with a lot of heart.
